Duties

• Safely operate various delivery vehicles including box trucks, vans, or personal vehicles to deliver orders promptly and accurately.
• Load and unload food items using manual handling techniques, ensuring proper weight distribution and safe lifting practices.
• Follow designated routes using mobile devices or GPS systems, adhering strictly to traffic regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards.
• Maintain a clean and organized vehicle, performing routine inspections and basic maintenance checks.
• Interact professionally with customers during deliveries, providing excellent customer service and addressing any questions or concerns courteously.
• Ensure all deliveries are completed within scheduled timeframes while maintaining safety at all times.
• Assist with warehouse operations when not on delivery routes, including material handling equipment operation such as pallet jacks or manual handling of supplies.

Qualifications

• Previous delivery driver experience preferred, especially with courier or van driver roles involving route driving.
• Warehouse experience or familiarity with warehouse operations is a plus.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience operating manual transmission vehicles is desirable.
• Knowledge of traffic laws, DOT regulations, and safe lifting practices for manual handling tasks.
• Ability to lift heavy loads safely and efficiently; comfortable with manual handling and moving items as needed.
• Strong customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanor.
• Experience operating material handling equipment such as pallet jacks or similar devices is advantageous.
• Reliable mobile device usage for route navigation and communication.
