Job Overview

We are looking for a proactive and well-connected Placement Coordinator to manage student placement activities and develop relationships with airlines, hotels, travel companies, corporates and other employers.

The candidate will be responsible for creating placement opportunities, coordinating interviews and recruitment drives, preparing students for placements and maintaining strong employer relationships.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain relationships with companies, airlines, hotels, travel agencies, airports, corporates and other employers.
• Identify and generate new placement and internship opportunities for students.
• Coordinate with employers regarding job vacancies, eligibility criteria, salary packages and recruitment requirements.
• Organize campus recruitment drives, interviews, walk-in interviews and placement events.
• Coordinate the complete placement process from student registration to final selection and joining.
• Maintain an updated database of students, employers, vacancies, interviews and placement status.
• Screen and shortlist students according to employer requirements.
• Coordinate with trainers to ensure students are placement-ready.
• Conduct or coordinate resume-building, interview preparation, grooming and soft-skills sessions.
• Prepare students for aptitude tests, group discussions, interviews and other recruitment processes.
• Maintain regular communication with selected candidates until joining.
• Track student placements, internships and employment outcomes.
• Collect and maintain employer feedback and student placement records.
• Prepare regular placement MIS and reports for management.
• Coordinate with the Marketing and Academic teams for placement-related events and promotional activities.
• Participate in job fairs, career fairs, institutional visits and industry networking events.
• Support students in understanding job roles, career paths and workplace expectations.
• Travel locally or outside Guwahati for employer meetings and placement-related activities when required.
• Perform other placement and industry-coordination responsibilities assigned by management.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR, Management, Business Administration, Hospitality, Tourism, Aviation or a related field.
• 2–5 years of experience in placement, recruitment, HR, business development, corporate relations or career services preferred.
• Experience in educational institutions, training academies, skill-development organizations or recruitment agencies will be an advantage.
• Strong employer and industry relationship-building skills.
• Excellent English and Hindi communication skills.
• Assamese communication skills will be an advantage.
• Good negotiation, networking and follow-up skills.
• Strong knowledge of MS Excel for maintaining placement databases and reports.
• Good knowledge of MS Word and PowerPoint.
• Basic knowledge of Canva will be an advantage.
• Ability to organize recruitment drives and placement events.
• Good understanding of recruitment and interview processes.
• Willingness to travel for employer meetings and placement activities.

Pay: From ₹15,000.00 per month
