Planned Works Supervisor – Social Housing

Mirus Property Services is looking to recruit an experienced Planned Works Supervisor to join our growing team, overseeing planned refurbishment works across both occupied and void social housing properties.

The role will predominantly involve the supervision and day-to-day management of kitchen and bathroom replacement programmes, void refurbishments and associated planned works, ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, to a high standard and within programme.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Supervisor with a background in social housing refurbishment to join a growing contractor with a strong pipeline of work.

The Role

As Planned Works Supervisor, you will be responsible for the day-to-day delivery of works across multiple properties, coordinating our directly employed trades and specialist subcontractors while maintaining excellent relationships with residents, clients and internal teams.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Supervising planned refurbishment works across occupied and void social housing properties.
• Managing kitchen and bathroom replacement programmes and associated refurbishment works.
• Managing void property works from initial inspection through to completion and handover.
• Coordinating trades including kitchen fitters, plumbers, electricians, gas engineers, tilers, plasterers, carpenters and decorators.
• Carrying out pre-start inspections and ensuring properties are ready for works to commence.
• Monitoring daily progress and ensuring works remain on programme.
• Managing multiple properties at different stages of completion.
• Monitoring the quality of workmanship throughout each project.
• Carrying out quality inspections and ensuring defects or outstanding items are resolved promptly.
• Ensuring works comply with specifications, drawings and client requirements.
• Liaising professionally with residents throughout occupied works and ensuring disruption is kept to a minimum.
• Coordinating labour, materials and subcontractors to maintain programme.
• Ensuring Health & Safety requirements are maintained across all sites.
• Ensuring RAMS and safe systems of work are followed.
• Maintaining high standards of housekeeping and site presentation.
• Managing snagging and ensuring properties are completed to the required standard before handover.
• Providing regular progress updates to Contracts Management.

About You

We are looking for an experienced and proactive supervisor who is comfortable taking ownership of multiple properties and managing works from start to finish.

You should have:

• Previous experience in a supervisory or site management role.
• Experience within social housing, planned maintenance or refurbishment.
• Good knowledge of kitchen, bathroom and general property refurbishment works.
• Strong organisational and communication skills.
• A good understanding of Health & Safety requirements.
• The ability to manage operatives, subcontractors, residents and client representatives professionally.
• A strong eye for quality and attention to detail.
• A full UK driving licence.

SMSTS or SSSTS, First Aid and relevant construction qualifications would be advantageous.
