Planner - Fleet Management

The Planner – Fleet Management is responsible for planning, coordinating, and optimizing fleet operations to ensure maximum vehicle utilization, operational efficiency, regulatory compliance, and service delivery. The role supports the effective deployment of vehicles, scheduling of maintenance activities, monitoring fleet performance, and providing analytical insights to improve fleet productivity and cost effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities - Fleet Planning & Coordination

• Develop and maintain fleet deployment schedules based on operational requirements.
• Coordinate vehicle allocation to ensure optimal utilization and availability.
• Monitor fleet movements and adjust plans to meet changing operational demands.
• Support route and resource planning to maximize efficiency and minimize downtime.

Maintenance Planning

• Schedule preventive and corrective maintenance activities in coordination with maintenance teams and external service providers.
• Track vehicle inspection, servicing, and warranty schedules.
• Monitor vehicle downtime and recommend measures to improve fleet availability.

Fleet Performance Monitoring

• Maintain accurate fleet records, including utilization, mileage, fuel consumption, maintenance history, and operational costs.
• Analyze fleet performance data and prepare regular reports and dashboards.
• Identify trends and opportunities for cost reduction, efficiency improvements, and asset optimization.

Compliance & Safety

• Ensure fleet operations comply with company policies, health and safety requirements, and applicable transportation regulations.
• Monitor vehicle registrations, insurance policies, permits, and certifications to ensure timely renewals.
• Support the implementation of fleet safety initiatives and monitoring programs.

Stakeholder Management

• Liaise with operations, maintenance, procurement, suppliers, and service providers to ensure seamless fleet operations.
• Respond to operational requirements and provide recommendations for fleet planning improvements.
• Support fleet-related projects, audits, and process enhancement initiatives.

Qualifications & Experience

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Transportation Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.

Experience

• 3-5 years of experience in fleet management, transportation planning, logistics, or a related operational environment.
• Experience working with fleet management systems, telematics platforms, and maintenance planning tools is preferred.

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong planning, scheduling, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and fleet management software.
• Knowledge of fleet maintenance principles, vehicle lifecycle management, and transportation regulations.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to interpret operational data and generate actionable insights.
• Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Pay: AED8,000.00 - AED8,500.00 per month
