About The Role Join our team as a Planner and play a vital role in ensuring maintenance activities are effectively planned, scheduled, and delivered to support safe, reliable, and efficient operations. Working closely with maintenance, engineering, and operations teams, you'll develop detailed work plans, maintain asset information in SAP, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that help maximise equipment performance. No two days are the same—one day you could be planning a major shutdown, and the next you could be helping solve a critical maintenance challenge that keeps the mill running smoothly!

Role Responsibilities

  • Develop detailed maintenance work plans and schedules to support safe, efficient, and reliable operations.
  • Maintain and optimise maintenance strategies, equipment records, and master data within SAP.
  • Coordinate resources, materials, and contractor requirements to ensure work is completed on time and within scope.
  • Work closely with maintenance, engineering, and operations teams to prioritise activities and minimise downtime.
  • Monitor maintenance performance and identify opportunities for continuous improvement and increased asset reliability.
  • Ensure planning processes comply with company standards, safety requirements, and industry best practices.

About You We are looking for someone who brings strong planning and organisational skills, a proactive mindset, and the ability to build positive working relationships across maintenance, engineering, and operations teams. You thrive in a fast-paced environment, enjoy solving problems, and are committed to delivering safe, efficient, and reliable outcomes.

Essential

  • Demonstrated experience in maintenance planning, scheduling, or a related asset management role.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Experience using SAP or a similar Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
  • Well-developed communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to work effectively across multidisciplinary teams.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, and a commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

Desirable

  • Trade qualification, engineering background, or tertiary studies in a related discipline.
  • Experience within manufacturing, heavy industry, mining, sugar, or processing operations.
  • Knowledge of reliability-centred maintenance principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Advanced SAP, Power BI, or data analysis skills to support maintenance decision-making.
  • Experience planning major shutdowns, capital projects, or contractor-led maintenance activities.

Recruitment Process

Applications are assessed independently and on their individual merits against the requirements of the advertised role.

As part of our recruitment process, shortlisted candidates may be required to –

  • Complete interviews, assessments, reference checks and verification of qualifications, licences and work rights.
  • Successful candidates will be required to satisfactorily complete any role-specific pre-employment checks, which may include a pre-employment medical assessment (including drug and alcohol screening).
  • A National Police Check and other compliance requirements.

Due to the volume of applications received, only shortlisted candidates will be contacted. If you have not heard from us within four weeks of the job ads expiry, please consider your application unsuccessful.

We encourage you to apply for future opportunities with Wilmar that align with your skills and experience.
