The Planner analyzes production data, monitors progress against schedule, and adjusts plans as needed to minimize delays, improve workflow, and support safe, efficient, and high-quality manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and communicate detailed production schedules based on sales forecasts, inventory levels, material availability, and manufacturing capacity.
  • Coordinate with procurement to support timely availability of raw materials and components needed for production.
  • Monitor production progress and adjust schedules to address delays, equipment issues, material shortages, or changing customer demand.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing, quality assurance, logistics, and other cross-functional teams to support seamless production flow.
  • Analyze production data and key performance indicators to identify bottlenecks, capacity constraints, and opportunities for process improvement.

  • Experience using production planning software and ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or similar systems.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret production data, identify trends, and make sound planning decisions.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and collaborate effectively across departments.
  • Preferred experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, demand forecasting, inventory management, and advanced Microsoft Excel tools such as pivot tables and data analysis functions.
  • APICS CPIM certification or equivalent supply chain certification preferred.
  • Previous experience in a fast-paced, high-volume manufacturing environment preferred.

Physical & Work Environment Requirements

This position requires regular standing and walking throughout the workday and involves repetitious duties in a manufacturing environment. Employees frequently use their hands and arms to perform job duties and may occasionally stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, speak, and hear. The role requires the ability to lift, carry, and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds as needed.

Work is performed in a manufacturing environment that is not temperature-controlled. The work environment may also involve exposure to moving mechanical equipment, chemicals, fumes, airborne particles, and elevated noise levels. The use of personal protective equipment (PPE), including respiratory and hearing protection, may be required based on job assignments and work area conditions.
