Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Planning & Cost Control Engineer to join our Projects / Fit-Out Execution team in Dubai. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining project schedules, monitoring budgets and costs, tracking project progress, and providing accurate reports to support timely and cost-effective project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare, update, and monitor baseline schedules and look-ahead plans using Primavera P6 or MS Project.
• Develop project budgets, cost plans, cash flow forecasts, and cost-to-complete projections.
• Monitor actual project costs against approved budgets and analyze cost variances.
• Conduct earned value analysis and assess project performance against established baselines.
• Review and track BOQs, subcontractor and supplier packages, interim payment applications, and variation orders.
• Identify schedule delays and cost deviations, analyze root causes, and recommend corrective and recovery measures.
• Prepare weekly and monthly project progress and cost reports for Fit-Out / Execution Management and the General Manager.
• Coordinate with site, procurement, design, and commercial teams to ensure accurate and timely project information.
• Support the preparation of extension-of-time claims and related contractual documentation when required.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or Construction Engineering.
• 5–8 years of relevant experience in project planning and cost control, preferably within fit-out or building projects in the UAE/GCC.
• Strong proficiency in Primavera P6, MS Project, and advanced Microsoft Excel.
• Solid understanding of BOQs, cost codes, project budgeting, forecasting, and project controls methodologies.
• Strong analytical, organizational, reporting, and coordination skills.
• Ability to monitor multiple project activities and provide timely, accurate information to management.
