Planning & Materials Control Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute weekly master production schedules (MPS) for multiple injection molding machines based on tonnage requirements and multi-cavity tool availability.
• Forecast, requisition, and manage raw materials, including polymer resins (ABS, PP, PC, Nylon), color masterbatches, inserts, and packaging materials.
• Coordinate closely with the Toolroom and NPI (New Product Introduction) teams to schedule preventive mold maintenance, repairs, and T0/T1 trial runs without disrupting mass production.
• Sequence production runs to minimize color contamination and reduce mold changeover (SMED) setup times.
• Monitor resin consumption, track material variance, and manage regrind/scrap material ratios to control costs while maintaining high quality standards.
• Serve as the central link between Sales (customer demand), Procurement (raw material supply), Production (machine capacity), and Quality Assurance (QA/QC).

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or Supply Chain Management.
• more 5 years of planning or material control experience specifically within a plastic injection molding or precision plastics.
• Advanced knowledge of ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or Plex) is required. Strong mastery of MS Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, data modeling) for inventory forecasting.
• Exceptional problem-solving skills, ability to manage high-pressure scheduling conflicts, and clear technical communication skills.

Pay: RM7,000.00 - RM10,000.00 per month
