Planning & Reporting Engineer

We are seeking a Planning & Reporting Engineer to manage project scheduling alongside a strong focus on management reporting and data visualization. This role is ideal for a planning professional who combines solid Primavera P6 skills with the ability to turn raw project data into clear, actionable dashboards and reports for management, clients, and consultants.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain project schedules using Primavera P6, including baseline, progress updates, and look-ahead programmes
• Monitor progress against baseline; track critical path and highlight variances or delays
• Design and maintain dashboards and reports (Power BI / Excel) consolidating progress, cost, manpower, and KPI data
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports for internal management and external client/consultant submission
• Build and maintain S-curves, manpower histograms, and productivity trend charts
• Automate recurring reporting tasks using Excel/VBA or Power BI to reduce manual reporting effort
• Coordinate with site engineers, subcontractors, procurement, and QA/QC teams to collect accurate progress data
• Support preparation of look-ahead schedules and resource-loaded plans
• Assist in consolidating multi-project or portfolio-level reporting for senior management review
• Support delay analysis and EOT documentation with data-backed reporting

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
• 3–7 years of experience in planning/scheduling with a strong reporting component
• Strong proficiency in Primavera P6; working knowledge of MS Project
• Hands-on experience with Power BI (dashboards, DAX, KPI visualization) or equivalent BI tools
• Advanced MS Excel skills, including VBA/macros for reporting automation
• Experience preparing and presenting progress reports to management and clients

Preferred Qualifications

• UAE/GCC project experience
• Experience integrating cost/commercial data (BOQ, payment applications) into reporting dashboards
• PMP or similar certification
• Exposure to EOT claims and delay analysis reporting
