Planning Engineer

The Planning Engineer at Vijay Tanks FZC is responsible for the end-to-end development, monitoring, and financial control of project schedules regarding the fabrication and erection of industrial storage tanks, pressure vessels, and mechanical infrastructure.

• Develop clear, comprehensive graphs and project timelines that are simple for project execution teams to interpret.
• Revise and baseline schedules reactively based on client requests or internal engineering modifications, driving authorization through formal approval channels.
• Act as the core interface across all engineering and construction disciplines to maintain strict compliance with Contract Deliverables.
• Liaise with the Project Controller to guarantee the synchronized delivery of technical designs, raw materials, and fabrication yard resources.
• Construct, monitor, and maintain a rigorous Material Tracking System to prevent supply shortfalls and update key project stakeholders.
• Set up the initial project cash flow statement at the kickoff stage and continually audit performance against it.
• Assist the Project Manager and Project Controller in compiling and closing out commercial variation claims with the client.
• Oversee and streamline monthly and progressive client billing structures to ensure project cash flow liquidity.

Qualification, Skills & Experience :

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering
• 4 to 6 years of solid experience in project planning or controls with an Oil & Gas contractor, tank manufacturer, or heavy mechanical EPC firm. Experience in the UAE/GCC region is preferred.
• Advanced proficiency in Primavera P6 Professional and MS Project.
• Data Analytics: Expert MS Excel mastery
