Planning Engineer

For the Cluj Metro Project , one of Romania’s largest infrastructure developments, we are looking for a Planning Engineer to join our Technical Office.

Main Responsibilities

• Develop, update, and maintain detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 .
• Track actual progress, critical activities, milestones, and key project deliverables.
• Support identification of schedule delays, risks, and potential impacts on project completion.
• Prepare and update progress reports, look-ahead programmes, and schedule updates.
• Coordinate with Project Managers, Site Engineers, subcontractors, and other project stakeholders to collect progress information.
• Analyse schedule performance and support the development of recovery and mitigation plans.
• Assist with resource planning and coordination of construction activities.
• Ensure project schedules are aligned with contractual requirements and project objectives.
• Contribute to planning meetings and provide accurate schedule-related information to management.
• Maintain proper documentation and records of revisions and progress updates.

Requirements

• 3–8 years of relevant experience in planning/scheduling within the construction industry.
• Working knowledge of Primavera P6 is preferred. Candidates with good working knowledge of Microsoft Project will also be considered.
• Good understanding of construction processes, project scheduling, and project controls.
• Familiarity with baseline programmes, progress tracking, critical path analysis, and schedule updates.
• Ability to analyse complex project data and identify potential delays and risks.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel .
• Strong communication and coordination skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary project team.
• Good command of English , both written and spoken.
• Engineering or Construction-related degree is preferred.
