Qualifications:

Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Engineering Management, or a related field.

Professional License: Licensed Civil Engineer is preferred. COSH Training or related safety certification is preferred. Training or certification in project planning, scheduling, or project management is an advantage.

Work Experience:

• At least 2–5 years of experience in construction planning, scheduling, project controls, or related functions.
• Experience in civil, structural, road, bridge, or infrastructure projects is an advantage.
• Experience in preparing baseline schedules, progress reports, and recovery schedules is preferred.
• Experience in monitoring project accomplishments and analyzing schedule variances is an advantage.
• Experience coordinating with construction teams, subcontractors, procurement, and other project stakeholders is preferred.

Skills & Knowledge:

• Technical Competencies: Proficient in construction planning, scheduling, and progress monitoring. Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other project planning/reporting tools. Knowledge of Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or equivalent scheduling software. Knowledge of project scheduling techniques, activity sequencing, critical path method, and schedule analysis. Strong understanding of construction methodologies, work sequencing, and project implementation. Knowledge of resource planning, productivity monitoring, and schedule recovery techniques. Familiarity with SAP or other project management systems is an advantage.
• Behavioral Competencies: Strong analytical, planning, and problem-solving skills. High attention to detail and accuracy in project monitoring and reporting. Effective communication skills with project teams, subcontractors, suppliers, and management. Ability to manage multiple priorities and consistently meet reporting deadlines. Proactive initiative in identifying schedule risks and proposing practical solutions. Displays integrity, accountability, and reliability in handling project information and reports. Works effectively under pressure and adapts to changing project requirements and site conditions.

Location Requirement: Must be willing to work full-time on-site at Mamplasan, Biñan, Laguna.

Job Summary:

The Planning Engineer is responsible for planning, developing, monitoring, and controlling construction project schedules; coordinating with project teams and contractors; tracking project progress and critical activities; analyzing delays and schedule variances; preparing progress reports; and developing recovery plans to ensure projects are completed within the approved schedule.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Schedule Development: Build and maintain detailed project baselines, activity sequences, S-Curves, and resource requirements using Primavera P6 or MS Project.
• Progress Monitoring & Control: Collect site accomplishment data to track actual vs. planned progress, update schedules, and generate weekly/monthly progress reports.
• Delay Analysis & Catch-up Planning: Identify causes for project slippage, analyze critical path impacts, and prepare schedule mitigation and recovery plans.
• Cross-Functional Coordination: Align execution schedules with engineering, procurement, and site teams, while evaluating subcontractor progress and schedule compliance.
• Forecasting & Reporting: Assist in predicting completion dates and resource needs, maintaining complete baseline records and progress documentation.
• Claims & Compliance Support: Prepare schedule delay analyses and documentation to support time extension claims and contractual compliance.
