Planning Engineer

Role

We are looking for a Planning / Schedule Engineer with hands-on experience in Primavera P6 to support planning, monitoring and execution of our projects.

The candidate will work closely with Project Managers, Construction, Engineering, Procurement, Consultants and Subcontractors to ensure projects remain on schedule and key milestones are achieved.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and update project schedules using Primavera P6 / MS Project.
• Assist in developing baseline programmes, WBS, activity logic, milestones and critical paths.
• Monitor planned vs. actual progress and identify schedule variances and potential delays.
• Prepare weekly/monthly progress reports, S-curves, milestone trackers and look-ahead schedules.
• Coordinate with site teams to validate physical progress and identify constraints.
• Coordinate engineering, procurement, construction and subcontractor activities within the project schedule.
• Track critical and near-critical activities and highlight schedule risks to the Project Manager.
• Assist with recovery programmes, delay analysis and schedule impact assessments.
• Maintain accurate schedule records, updates and revisions.
• Support client/project review meetings with relevant planning and progress information.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or related discipline.
• 24 years of experience in construction planning, scheduling or project controls.
• Hands-on experience with Primavera P6 strongly preferred.
• Experience in industrial, commercial or large-scale construction projects preferred.
• Understanding of CPM, critical path, baseline programmes, float and progress measurement.
• Strong analytical, coordination and communication skills.

What We're Looking For

A hands-on planning professional who understands construction, not just scheduling software. The ideal candidate should be able to translate site progress into accurate schedules, identify what is affecting the programme, and work with the project team to keep the project on track.
