Planning Engineer

Job highlights

• 3-6 years experience in construction planning with expertise in Primavera P6/MS Project and baseline management
• Develop and maintain engineering and construction schedules, track project progress, analyze variances, prepare look-ahead schedules, and coordinate contractor programmes

Role & responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed Engineering & construction schedules in coordination with the Project Manager.
• Track daily and weekly project progress against the approved baseline.
• Analyse schedule variances and forecast project completion.
• Prepare and maintain weekly and monthly look-ahead schedules.
• Identify critical path activities, delays, and schedule risks and support recovery plans.
• Coordinate and integrate contractor schedules into the overall master programme.
• Prepare progress dashboards, S-curves, and project analytics.
• Support preparation of monthly progress reports, including physical/financial progress, delays, and corrective actions.

Required Skills

• Strong hands-on experience in MS Project/ Primavera P6.
• Good knowledge of baseline management, critical path analysis, S-curve, and Earned Value Management (EVM).
• Experience in integrating multi-discipline contractor programmes.
• Strong analytical, reporting, coordination, and communication skills.
• Good knowledge of MS Excel and data visualisation.

Preferred candidate profile

• 36 years of experience in construction planning and scheduling.
• Experience in large industrial, EPC, or cleanroom projects will be preferred.
• B.E./B.Tech in Civil/Mechanical Engineering or Diploma with strong planning experience.
• Primavera P6/ MS Projects certification will be an added advantage.
• Strong analytical ability with attention to detail and the ability to work under project deadlines.
