Planning Engineer

Summary

The Planning Engineer is responsible for the planning, scheduling, and development of sub-programs/tracking programs for construction operations.

Location: Selangor / Johor

Job Description

• Develop, prepare and maintain project work programmes and construction schedules using Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project.
• Monitor and update project progress against the approved baseline programme throughout the construction process.
• Identify potential delays and assist in preparing mitigation and recovery plans to ensure project milestones are achieved.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, site teams and internal departments to ensure smooth project execution.
• Assist in planning and forecasting manpower, materials and equipment requirements in accordance with project schedules.
• Prepare progress reports, S-curves, bar charts and other planning-related documentation.
• Prepare monthly progress reports and provide supporting information for progress claims.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognised university.
• Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in building or civil construction projects.
• Proficient in Primavera P6, Microsoft Project and Microsoft Excel.
• Good understanding of construction sequencing, project scheduling and progress monitoring.
• Experience in data centre construction projects will be an added advantage.
