Planning Engineer

We are looking for an experienced and result-oriented Purchase Manager to oversee procurement activities for real estate and construction projects. The candidate will be responsible for strategic sourcing, vendor management, cost negotiation, material planning, and timely procurement of materials and services while ensuring quality, cost efficiency, and project timelines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with project requirements and organisational objectives.
• Manage end-to-end purchasing activities for construction materials, equipment, subcontracting, and services.
• Identify, evaluate, and onboard reliable vendors, suppliers, and contractors.
• Negotiate pricing, payment terms, delivery schedules, and contractual conditions to achieve cost savings.
• Obtain and evaluate quotations, prepare comparative statements, and ensure competitive procurement.
• Coordinate with Project, Planning, QS, Engineering, Finance, and Site teams to understand material requirements.
• Ensure timely procurement and delivery of materials in line with project schedules.
• Monitor market trends, material prices, and supplier performance.
• Maintain purchase orders, vendor agreements, procurement records, and MIS reports.
• Ensure compliance with approved budgets, internal procurement policies, and authorization procedures.
• Track material quality, delivery commitments, pending orders, and supplier related issues.
• Build long-term vendor relationships and continuously improve procurement processes.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelors degree in Engineering, Civil Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 8+ years of experience in procurement/purchase management, preferably in real estate or construction.
• Strong knowledge of construction materials, specifications, market rates, and supplier networks.
• Proven expertise in vendor development, price negotiation, cost control, and contract management.
• Experience in budget monitoring, purchase order management, and procurement MIS.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and ERP/procurement software.
• Strong analytical, communication, negotiation, and team management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet strict procurement deadlines.

• Experience handling procurement for high-rise residential or commercial construction projects.
• Strong network of construction material suppliers and contractors.
• A cost-conscious, process-driven professional with a focus on quality, transparency, and timely project execution.
