PLANNING ENGINEER (CONSTRUCTION)

CONSTRUCTION DIVISION

• Develop, maintain, and update project baseline schedules using Primavera P6, ensuring alignment with project milestones and contractual requirements.
• Monitor project progress, identify potential delays, and recommend corrective actions to keep the project on schedule.
• Coordinate with planning manager, site teams, client, consultants and subcontractors to collect, verify and consolidate progress data.
• Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports, dashboards and schedule forecasts.
• Analyze the time impact of changes, variations and delays, providing planning input to support Extension of Time (EOT) claims where required.
• Participate in project meetings, present schedule updates and provide planning insights to support decision-making.
• Support project risk analysis, resource planning and productivity monitoring to improve project performance.
• Ensure compliance with company planning procedures, project requirements and client reporting standards.

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• 2–5 years of planning experience in fast-track construction projects, preferably within a main contractor environment.
• Proficient in Primavera P6, with hands-on experience in project scheduling and progress updates.
• Strong understanding of construction sequencing, critical path analysis, schedule forecasting, and progress measurement.
• Good analytical, communication, and coordination skills, with the ability to work effectively with project teams and subcontractors.
• Able to work independently, manage competing priorities, and meet tight deadlines.
• Willing to be based full-time at the project site in Kulim, Kedah.
