Planning Engineer - HO

Key responsibilities

• Develop comprehensive project schedules using industry-standard planning tools and methodologies, ensuring alignment with project objectives and contractual requirements
• Monitor and track project progress against approved schedules, identifying variances and recommending corrective actions
• Prepare detailed schedule reports and presentations for senior management, project stakeholders, and clients
• Analyse resource allocation and optimise workforce deployment to maximise productivity and minimise project delays
• Coordinate with project managers, site engineers, and subcontractors to gather schedule updates and ensure timely information flow
• Identify scheduling risks and bottlenecks, developing contingency plans and mitigation strategies
• Maintain and update master schedules and sub-schedules for multiple projects across various phases
• Conduct schedule audits and reviews to ensure compliance with industry best practices and organisational standards
• Support bid and tender processes by providing scheduling expertise and project duration estimates
• Collaborate with finance and procurement teams to align schedules with budget and material procurement timelines

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field

• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in construction project planning and scheduling

• Mastery of Primavera P6 and understands FIDIC EOT evidence requirements

• Support FIDIC EOT claim preparation via delay impact and concurrent delay analysis and extra resource consumption assessment

• Proficiency in project scheduling software such as Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, or similar tools. Performs regular schedule updates; produce S Curves and written reports identifying delay root causes

• Strong understanding of construction methodologies, project delivery systems, and industry standards

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work with complex data sets

• Proven experience in developing and managing detailed project schedules for large-scale construction projects

• Fluent english for report writing and on site communication

• Experience working in a multicultural environment
