Planning Engineer (Outage)

BTSMC Managing Solutions, Inc. is urgently looking for an OUTAGE PLANNING ENGINEER (3-4 mos. project-based with possibility of contract extension) to be assigned in Mariveles, Bataan.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in any Engineering
• PRC License required
• At least four (4) years in power plant maintenance experience
• With at least one (1) year relevant project experience
• Power Plant Maintenance and Practices; Plant Diagnostics and Problem Solving
• Control Systems; Work Planning, Execution, Reports and Records Management; Outage and Project Management

Job Overview:

• The position is responsible for planning and preparing the scheduled outages of the plant by facilitating the scope reviews, spares, and consumables requirements, scheduling of activities, coordinating with various stakeholders, and managing the resources.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinates with O&M, engineering, and asset management team on the outage scopes to be done during the scheduled outages.
• Compiles all recommendations and lessons learned of the previous planned outages in a single monitoring file.
• Creates and facilitates the completion of outage final reports.
• Facilitates the resource requirements of each outage activity.
• Schedules and coordinates all outage activities in a master schedule file for coordination and general view of the overall duration and progress of the shutdown work.
• Collects data on preventive/corrective maintenance activities to monitor compliance to maintenance procedures as well as to provide a proactive approach in repairs and maintenance.
• Assists in the creation of the maintenance long-term plans such as a 10-year outage plan.
• Ensures that outage planning and execution will be in accordance with the established outage process and procedures.
• Complies with the requirements of the outage readiness indicator and the outage execution indicator gate reviews.
• Prepares the outage budget for approval based on the identified scope and monitors it during the execution phase.

• Complies with occupational safety and health as well as environmental rules and regulations to prevent accidents, illness, and adverse effects on the environment.
• Complies with housekeeping policies within his/her area of responsibility during assigned shift to maintain standards of cleanliness and orderliness of plant equipment and premises.

Other

• Conforms to the company’s Quality, Environmental, Occupational Health and Safety, Asset Management, Energy Management, Business Continuity Management System and Information Security Management Systems policies, standards, procedures, and guidelines based on ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 27001, ISO 55001, ISO 50001, and ISO 22301 Standards. X Reports Environmental and Occupational Health and Safety events/incidents or potential events, or other security risks to the organization/committees-in-charge.
• Protects information assets from unauthorized access, disclosure, modification, destruction, or interference in accordance with ISMS policies.
• Maintains availability, confidentiality, and integrity of documents
