Planning Engineer / Project Planner (ID Fit-Out)

About the role

We are seeking a highly organized and data-driven Planning Engineer / Project Planner to join our interior fit-out and construction team. In this role, you will be the custodian of the project timeline, responsible for developing, monitoring, and updating comprehensive project schedules for high-end commercial, retail, and residential fit-out projects. Because fit-out projects are fast-paced with tight handovers, the ideal candidate must excel at critical path management, material procurement tracking, and resource optimization.

Key responsibilities

• Create detailed, logic-linked baseline project schedules (WBS) from contract documents, drawings, and bill of quantities (BOQ)
• Map out fast-track fit-out sequences precisely, integrating civil works, MEP first/second fixes, joinery production, specialized finishes, and final styling
• Integrate the procurement schedule with the construction timeline, tracking long-lead delivery items like imported marble, custom joinery, and specialized lighting
• Conduct weekly site visits to audit actual progress against the baseline, generating S-curves, KPI dashboards, and progress reports for management and clients
• Identify critical paths, forecast potential project delays, perform root-cause analysis, and proactively propose recovery schedules or acceleration plans
• Allocate manpower, equipment, and cash-flow budgets into the schedule to monitor resource histograms and optimize operational efficiency
• Document, analyze, and prepare technical substantiation packages for Extension of Time (EOT) claims caused by design variations or site obstructions
