Planning Engineers (Building Construction)

We are seeking a motivated, detail-oriented, and proactive Planning Engineer to support the planning, design coordination, tendering, and construction management of Civil and Structural (C&S) works across various project types.

The successful candidate will play an important role in coordinating between project managers, consultants, clients, contractors, and site teams to ensure that design development, project planning, and construction activities are effectively integrated and aligned with project requirements, budget, schedule, quality, and safety standards.

This position offers opportunities for both fresh graduates and experienced candidates to develop their technical, coordination, and project management capabilities through involvement in various stages of project delivery.

Job Responsibilities

• Assist Project Managers in planning, coordinating, and monitoring project progress to achieve completion within the approved budget, schedule, and quality requirements.
• Coordinate and monitor the design and construction activities to minimise delays, resolve interface issues, and improve overall project efficiency.
• Coordinate Civil and Structural design activities with architectural, mechanical and electrical, specialist consultants, quantity surveyors (QS), and other relevant disciplines.
• Review construction drawings, specifications, and design proposals to assess constructability, identify design discrepancies, and ensure compliance with project requirements.
• Coordinate and resolve technical and design-related issues with consultants, clients, contractors, and site teams.
• Liaise with site personnel to ensure that the approved design intent is properly implemented during construction.
• Attend technical and coordination meetings, follow up on outstanding design matters, and facilitate timely resolution of site issues.
• Prepare, manage and maintain the technical documentation, including Requests for Information (RFIs), method statements, progress reports, project documentation and design coordination records.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Head of Department (HOD) or Management to meet the company's operational requirements.
• The duties and responsibilities outlined above may be revised from time to time in accordance with the company's operational needs.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil / Structural / Construction Engineering or related discipline.

• Fresh graduates are welcome to apply. Candidates with working experience in construction or design coordination will have an advantage.

• Site experience on piling works, Sub-structure and Super structure works for reinforce concrete, Steel structures and Precast structures

• Basic understanding of construction methods and engineering principles.

• Good communication and coordination skills, with the ability to interact with consultants and clients.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications. Familiarity with structural analysis and design software such as STAAD.Pro, Prokon, TEDDS, PLAXIS, or equivalent software.

• Strong problem-solving mindset and willingness to learn.

• Willingness to learn, take initiative, and develop professionally in Civil and Structural engineering, design coordination, and construction management.

• Able to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
