Planning Executive

About the role

Manage assigned customer accounts and work towards achieving 100% on-time delivery while maintaining healthy inventory and Days of Inventory (DOI). You will review customer forecasts, demand requirements and delivery schedules on a weekly basis, and translate customer demand into Master Production Schedules (MPS) covering finished goods, sub-assemblies and raw materials.

Key responsibilities

• Manage assigned customer accounts and work towards achieving 100% on-time delivery while maintaining healthy inventory and Days of Inventory (DOI)
• Review customer forecasts, demand requirements and delivery schedules on a weekly basis
• Provide customers with accurate and timely delivery commitments
• Translate customer demand into Master Production Schedules (MPS) covering finished goods, sub-assemblies and raw materials
• Compare customer forecasts against actual consumption and revise production plans when demand patterns change
• Monitor production performance against the MPS and coordinate recovery plans when output falls behind schedule
• Identify and escalate significant demand fluctuations, abnormal customer pull patterns, supply shortages and unusual inventory conditions
• Coordinate with Production, Operations, Sales and other departments to ensure sufficient materials, capacity and finished goods are available to meet delivery requirements
• Monitor inventory levels, aging stock, excess materials and abnormal inventory build-up
• Conduct monthly inventory reconciliation and prepare accurate planning and inventory reports

About you

• Diploma or Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, Logistics or a related discipline
• Relevant experience in production planning, material planning, demand planning, customer planning or supply chain planning within a manufacturing environment
• Good understanding of Master Production Scheduling, production planning, inventory control and customer forecast management
• Able to analyse forecasts, actual consumption, production capacity, material availability and inventory requirements
• Familiar with Days of Inventory, aging stock, excess and obsolete inventory, and End-of-Life material management
• Experience coordinating customer orders, shipment schedules, ETD and ETA updates
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and comfortable working with planning data and reports
• Strong analytical, organisational and problem-solving abilities
• Able to communicate effectively with customers and cross-functional teams
• Capable of working in a fast-moving manufacturing environment and responding quickly to demand or supply changes
