Planning Manager

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of planners and is responsible for reviewing demand forecasts and backlog, optimizing production output and meeting customer lead time and schedule
• Partner with Manufacturing, Procurement, Engineering, Quality, Logistics, and Customer Operations to ensure end-to-end execution alignment.
• Ensure production plans are realistic, achievable, and aligned with shop floor capacity and operational readiness.
• Act as the primary planning interface for issue resolution, trade-off decisions, and change impact assessments.
• Strengthening planning processes, data quality, and system utilization to improve forecast accuracy, schedule stability, and supply reliability.
• Build a high-performing planning organization through capability development, performance management, and succession planning.
• Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Operations Management, Business, or related field.
• 7–10+ years of experience in supply, production, or materials planning within manufacturing or industrial environments.
• Proven experience leading integrated planning functions across demand, supply, materials, and production scheduling.
• Strong understanding of ERP/MRP systems and planning methodologies.
• Demonstrated ability to balance service levels, inventory investment, and operational constraints.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
• Experience managing cross-functional stakeholders across manufacturing, procurement, logistics, and engineering teams.
• Proven people leadership experience, including coaching and performance management.
• Ability to operate effectively in fast-paced, complex, and changing environments.
