Position: Planning Manager

Location: Nungambakkam (Chennai)

Responsibilities:

• Develop project plans, schedules, and budgets for construction projects, considering factors such as resources, timelines, and budget constraints.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, architects, and subcontractors to develop project plans and coordinate construction activities.
• Monitor project progress and performance against established plans and schedules, identifying deviations and taking corrective actions as needed.
• Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies to minimize project delays and cost overruns.
• Prepare progress reports, forecasts, and analysis for project stakeholders, providing insights into project status, risks, and opportunities.
• Coordinate with procurement and supply chain teams to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment for construction projects.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, building codes, and industry standards throughout the planning and execution of construction projects.
• Provide support and guidance to project teams on planning and scheduling best practices and methodologies.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, construction management, or a related field.
• Minimum 8 to 12 years experience as a planning engineer or similar role in the High-rise construction industry (more than G+10 floors).
• Strong knowledge of construction planning principles, project management methodologies, and regulatory requirements.
• Proficiency in project management software and tools (Microsoft Project is mandatory).
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
