Planning Officer

About the role

The Planning Officer is responsible for developing and improving production plans in alignment with purchase orders and production capacity, managing raw materials and components to support production schedules, and monitoring stock and material availability. The role involves creating and controlling production plans and schedules, preparing production-related documentation, coordinating with Production, Warehouse, Purchasing, QA and related departments, tracking production results and adjusting plans when issues arise such as material shortages, machine downtime, or production plan changes. The role also includes recording and verifying data in the SAP ERP system, preparing planning reports and summaries for management, and performing other assigned tasks.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and improve production plans to align with purchase orders and production capacity
• Plan raw materials and components to ensure adequate supply for production plans
• Check stock and monitor material availability for production readiness
• Create and control Production Plan and Production Schedule
• Prepare tags and production-related documentation
• Coordinate with Production, Warehouse, Purchasing, QA and related departments
• Monitor production results and adjust plans when issues occur such as material shortages, machine downtime, or production plan changes
• Record and verify data in the SAP ERP system
• Prepare reports and summarise planning results for management reporting

About you

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Management, Industrial Engineering, Logistics, or related field
• Experience in Production Planning, Material Planning, or PPC (especially considered)
• Proficiency in SAP ERP and Microsoft Excel
• Skills in data analysis and problem-solving
• Ability to coordinate effectively with multiple departments
• Experience in the Automotive industry (especially considered)

About the role

Tools and systems used: SAP ERP, Microsoft Excel, Production Planning / Material Planning System, Stock and Material Management System. Key Performance Indicators: Production plan accuracy, on-time delivery, Material Availability, and Inventory Control.
