Planning Officer

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Perform job responsibilities in accordance with the applicable procedures.
• Participate in physical stock counts and coordinate Material Review Board (MRB) activities when necessary.
• Develop daily and weekly production plans to ensure optimal utilization of production capacity.
• Monitor daily production input and output against the production plan.
• Promptly coordinate with the Production Department to address any potential deviations that may affect On-Time Delivery (OTD) and prevent customer impact.
• Monitor and control finished goods inventory to meet established targets.
• Support the achievement of sales and production output targets as defined in the department's Goals and Objectives (G&O).
• Achieve an On-Time Delivery (OTD) performance of 97% or above.
• Support the implementation and production planning of new products.
• Coordinate with the Production Department to expedite outstanding shipments and minimize delivery delays.
• Arrange retesting of customer-returned finished goods (FG) in coordination with the Production Department.
• Monitor and control inventory levels to ensure alignment with the approved inventory budget.
• Communicate and coordinate with relevant departments on planning, scheduling, and forecasting matters.
• Initiate and coordinate MRB activities for any non-conforming finished goods.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Business Management, or an equivalent field.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, project management, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience in semiconductor manufacturing and wafer planning is an advantage.
• Computer literacy and knowledge of SAP are advantages.
• Ability to work effectively under tight deadlines.
• Dynamic, self-motivated, and results-oriented, with a creative and proactive approach to problem-solving.
• Ability to speak Japanese is an added advantage.
