  • Own the Master Production Schedule (MPS) across multiple manufacturing locations and ensure schedules are capacity-aligned and executable.
  • Establish standardized planning and scheduling processes that improve consistency, scalability, and execution discipline.
  • Drive accountability for schedule adherence, MRP accuracy, material readiness, and on-time delivery .
  • Lead proactive planning around labor, capacity, material availability, project priorities, and production constraints.
  • Serve as the functional owner of MRP within the ERP environment , ensuring demand signals are accurate, actionable, and aligned with operational realities.
  • Partner with Production, Warehouse, Project Management, Engineering, Purchasing, and Configuration Control to ensure demand, BOMs, schedules, priorities, and materials remain aligned.
  • Coordinate schedule changes, material constraints, and execution risks across multiple sites.
  • Work with Warehouse teams to support inventory accuracy, material staging, and timely material movement.
  • Partner with Project Management to identify and mitigate risks that could impact project timelines.
  • Monitor shortages and drive proactive resolution before they create production or project delays.
  • Develop and report key performance indicators including schedule adherence, material readiness, and delivery performance .
  • Identify process gaps and lead continuous improvement initiatives that reduce delays, improve system utilization, and eliminate reactive scheduling.
  • Provide escalation support during peak workloads, critical shortages, and site-level planning challenges.

What We're Looking For

  • 7+ years of experience in production planning and/or scheduling, preferably in an engineer-to-order manufacturing environment .
  • 3–5+ years of leadership experience managing or developing planning and scheduling professionals.
  • Strong experience as an ERP/MRP key user or functional owner .
  • Experience managing planning and scheduling across a multi-site manufacturing environment .
  • Strong understanding of fabrication, warehouse operations, material flow, capacity planning, and production scheduling .
  • Ability to translate project demand into executable production plans.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and leadership capabilities.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including complex formulas and data analysis.
  • Experience using Power BI , including query development and data-driven reporting.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering, Business, or a related technical field preferred. Extensive relevant industry or military experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.

The Opportunity

This role provides the opportunity to make a measurable impact on a growing manufacturing operation by bringing greater structure, visibility, and predictability to planning and scheduling.
