Planning Supervisor

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Planning Supervisor is responsible for compiling and managing scope, productivity, and construction activity reports, as well as developing and maintaining construction schedules to support effective resource planning, work execution, and overall project control.

Key responsibilities

Preparation and monitoring of Construction schedule and reports.

• Prepare the general or master construction schedule indicating the major milestones of the project (Level 1 – 3 Schedule) based on the scope of works
• Prepare the detailed construction schedules with "resource loading" and using "estimated durations" to be used for resource planning/management, progress evaluation and cost monitoring (Level 4-5) based on detail Bill of Quantities / WBS, budget, method statements and constraints
• Preparation of Schedule Narrative Report to explain the basis, key dates / milestones and status
• Prepare S-curve and cash flow based on master construction schedule with cost details for budget monitoring
• Monitor actual construction progress against target schedule and prepare updates if necessary and corresponding delay mitigation plans or options
• Prepare schedule analysis using Critical Path Method for planning purposes and decision-making process
• Preparation of other short-term schedules including but not limited to: Manpower Deployment Schedule, Equipment Deployment Schedule, Materials Procurement and Delivery Schedule, 3-weeks Rolling Schedule, 3-months Look Ahead and Rolling Schedule, Monthly or Weekly Progress related reports as needed

JOB QUALIFICATION

• Graduate of Engineering (CE, EE, ME) or BS Architecture
• At least 6 years work experience in the Construction Industry with at least 3 years spent as a Scheduler or Planner
• Able to prepare Construction Schedules (Level 5) both in Gantt and Network Schedule formats using scheduling software such as MS Project, Primavera and / or Tilos
• Able to make schedule related presentations for analysis and decision-making
