Plant Controller

Responsibilities Kforce has a client that is seeking a Plant Controller in Alma, MI. Summary: Our client is seeking an experienced Plant Controller to lead finance and accounting operations at a manufacturing facility. This role is responsible for financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, cost accounting, internal controls, cash flow management, and supporting operational decision-making. Key Responsibilities:

• Plant Controller will lead all plant accounting and finance activities
• Manage month-end and year-end close, financial reporting, and account reconciliations
• Oversee budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, and profitability analysis
• Provide cost accounting support and partner with operations on product costing and production variance analysis
• As a Plant Controller, you will ensure GAAP compliance, strong internal controls, and audit readiness
• Manage intercompany transactions, fixed assets, tax filings, and continuous process improvements
• Support reporting automation and financial system enhancements

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field
• 5+ years of finance or accounting experience in manufacturing
• Strong background in cost accounting, financial analysis, budgeting, and reporting
• Proven leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Manufacturing industry experience and understanding of production costs, launches, and profitability drivers

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
