Plant Controller - Decatur/Athens

Our client is seeking a Plant Controller to join a large, established organization. This is a highly visible role that partners directly with plant leadership to drive financial performance, support operations, and provide insight into cost, inventory, and manufacturing results.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead all plant accounting and financial reporting activities
• Analyze manufacturing results, variances, inventory, and product costs
• Develop annual budgets, forecasts, and financial projections
• Monitor internal controls, inventory accuracy, and fixed assets
• Support cost reduction and operational improvement initiatives
• Manage the standard cost process and inventory cycle counts
• Partner with operations leadership to improve plant performance
• Supervise a small accounting and inventory team

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting required; MBA preferred
• 5+ years of manufacturing accounting experience with a strong cost accounting background
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting, inventory, and standard costing
• Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills
• Ability to work closely with operations in a hands-on environment
