Plant Controller/Accounting Manager

Plant Controller/Accounting Manager - Up to $140k + bonus

Our client, a growing, manufacturing company, is hiring an Accounting Manager to oversee the financial operations of a key division (about $25M in revenue). This hands-on role will focus on project and cost accounting, financial reporting, inventory management, and operational analysis. The ideal candidate will bring strong manufacturing accounting expertise, leadership experience, and the ability to support continued business growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and fixed assets.
• Manage month-end close and prepare accurate financial statements and management reports.
• Oversee project costing, inventory valuation, standard costing, and manufacturing variance analysis.
• Analyze production costs, profitability, labor efficiency, and overhead.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
• Maintain internal controls and ensure compliance with GAAP.
• Partner with operations, production, and purchasing teams to support business objectives.
• Support ERP/MRP systems and process improvement initiatives.
• Develop and lead a small accounting team as the business continues to grow.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 6+ years of accounting experience within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of project accounting, cost accounting, and inventory costing.
• System implantation experience required!
