Plant Design Engineer | Synchronous Condenser Projects

Bahrawy Consultancy Group BCG Consultancy Group (BCG) is looking for a Plant Design Engineer to support the engineering and layout development of Synchronous Condenser projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop/review overall plant layouts, equipment arrangements, and general arrangement drawings.
• Coordinate equipment layouts and interfaces with civil, mechanical, electrical, HVAC, and I&C disciplines.
• Review OEM equipment layouts, foundation requirements, maintenance access, and lifting requirements.
• Develop/review 3D models, layouts, sections, and design drawings.
• Ensure adequate access for operation, maintenance, transportation, and equipment removal.
• Coordinate technical interfaces with the Synchronous Condenser OEM.
• Ensure compliance with project specifications and SEC/NG requirements.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical related Engineering.
• 5+ years of relevant experience in power plants, substations, or industrial plant design.
• Strong experience in equipment layout and multidisciplinary coordination.
• Good knowledge of AutoCAD/MicroStation and 3D plant design tools.
• Synchronous Condenser experience is an advantage.
