Plant Engineer

About the role

The Plant Engineer is responsible for overseeing the operation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of plant facilities and equipment. This role ensures that mechanical systems run efficiently, safely, and in compliance with industry standards. The Plant Engineer will collaborate with production, maintenance, and safety teams to optimize plant performance and support long-term operational goals.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and maintain plant mechanical systems, utilities, and equipment.
• Develop and implement preventive and corrective maintenance programs.
• Monitor plant operations to ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards.
• Provide technical support for troubleshooting mechanical issues and equipment failures.
• Lead projects related to equipment, installations, and process improvements.
• Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, and internal teams for plant engineering requirements.
• Prepare reports, documentation, and recommendations for management regarding plant performance.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.

About you

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering (Licensed Engineer preferred).
• At least 2-3 years of experience in plant engineering, maintenance, or industrial operations.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, utilities, and industrial equipment.
• Proficiency in maintenance planning, troubleshooting, and project management.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work in fast-paced manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Familiarity with safety standards, environmental regulations, and compliance requirements.
