Plant First Shift - Packaging

Production Hours Monday - Friday

Identify and pull correct product for orders. Determine what tools, hardware, and manuals are needed to complete orders. Package product for shipment including gathering weight and package dimensions. Stage orders for shipment when complete.

Job Responsibilities:

• Pull product from stock or drop zone
• Some assembly using hand tools and power tools
  • Read simple product prints
• Prep for shipment
  • Clean, label, band, wrap
• Weighing of product using scale
• Measure pallets once products are packaged
• Package product per customer's specifications
• 24 - 48 hours shipment time
• Operate cardboard crusher, banders, band saw and chop saw
• Place finished product in correct staging area
• Completion of all paperwork required during work day
• Fork truck operation
• Hoist operation

Job Requirements:

• Basic computer and math skills
• Read a tape measure
• Use time management skills and prioritization to accomplish the day's tasks in the hours provided
• Must be self-motivated as much of the day is unsupervised
• This is a 40 hour per week position and may require mandatory overtime hours
• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Must be able to speak, write, read and understand English

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. regularly
• Frequent bending, twisting, and squatting
• See and hear within reasonably acceptable limits, this includes the ability to see at a distance and peripherally

Required PPE:

• Steel toed shoes
