Plant Human Resources Manager

Responsibilities

• Lead the implementation of HR programs, policies, and employee services, advising managers and employees on HR policies, procedures, and workplace matters
• Manage employee relations, assess workplace climate, counsel managers on corrective actions, and represent the organization at unemployment hearings when required
• Support recruitment, onboarding, retention, career development, employee counseling, exit interviews, and other workforce initiatives
• Partner with management to identify training and development needs, conduct new-hire orientation, and implement training plans aligned with current and future business objectives
• Administer compensation, job evaluations, job profiles, salary and wage programs, ensuring consistency, internal equity, and appropriate application of company policies
• Oversee HR teams and day-to-day workforce operations, including hiring, performance management, staff development, workload assignments, and Workers’ Compensation/return-to-work activities

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required, with a minimum of 4 years of Human Resources experience
• Strong working knowledge of HR policies, procedures, and applicable federal and state employment laws
• Must be flexible to support a multi-shift operation based on business needs
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects, competing priorities, critical deadlines, and follow-up activities to ensure timely completion
• Effective communication and presentation skills, with experience delivering information to employees and leaders at various organizational levels
• PHR or SPHR certification preferred; must be available for up to 25% business travel, including in-state and out-of-state travel

Salary: $100k - $120k/annum
