Plant Manager

Job Summary:

Candidate will be a results-driven executive with a proven background in Bakery Operations and Process Engineering to lead our bakery manufacturing. This role will draft operation plans that accomplish business goals and prove out on the production floor. This role will lead production and engineering efforts that safely drive automation, eliminate waste, and optimize productivity.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering or similar discipline; Industrial, Mechanical, or Electrical. MBA is a plus.

Experience: Ten years of progressive leadership experience in high-volume bakery manufacturing. Combination of Engineering and Operations leadership is a plus.

Proficient use and communication of operation metrics (Key Performance Indicators, Overall Equipment Effectiveness).

Technical Expertise: Demonstrated expertise in equipment layout, process and packaging automation, and troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and PLC challenges.

Soft Skills: Exceptional executive presence, complex problem-solving abilities, and a willingness to maintain a visible, hands-on presence on the production floor.

• Maintain a “Safety First” culture, as measured by zero accidents.
• Engineering & Operational Strategy: Develop and manage short and long-term operational and engineering strategies to optimize operations.
• Capital Projects & Automation: Draft and lead CapEx planning, equipment procurement, and facility improvements. Lead the integration of automation and manufacturing technologies.
• Continuous Improvement: Support Lean initiatives to reduce downtime and waste.
• Quality Assurance & Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all operations components adhere to FDA and GMP safety standards.
• Financial Responsibility & Budgeting: Manage Operation P&L, using results in drafting strategic continuous improvement projects.
• Team Leadership & Development: Mentor and maintain a high-performing team of operations and maintenance leaders.
