Job Summary

Plant Mechanical Engineer to oversee the installation, inspection, and commissioning of mechanical equipment for our activated carbon manufacturing plant currently under construction. The role ensures that all machines and mechanical systems are installed safely, correctly, and under engineering standards and project timelines.

Shall also be responsible for planning, implementing, and monitoring the company’s Occupational Safety, Health, and Environmental (OSHE) programs for the construction of the hydro activated carbon plant. Ensures full compliance with DOLE safety standards regulations, while promoting a safe and healthy, responsible workplace.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise the installation of production and process equipment
• Monitor contractors and ensure quality workmanship
• Review mechanical drawings, layouts, and specifications
• Conduct inspections, testing, and commissioning of equipment
• Troubleshoot mechanical issues during installation and start-up
• Prepare maintenance plans and equipment documentation
• Ensure compliance with safety and project standards
• Submit progress and accomplishment reports
• Strong documentation, inspection, and training skills

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering (Licensed preferred)
• 1–3 years experience in plant construction or industrial equipment installation
• Knowledgeable in mechanical systems, commissioning, and preventive maintenance
• Knowledgeable in OSH standards regulations, and reporting systems
• Accredited Safety Officer 2 under DOLE
• Strong documentation, inspection, and training skills
• Willing to be assigned on-site and work extended hours as needed
