What they need

Job SummaryWe are seeking an analytical, highly technical, and results-oriented Plant Operations Manager to lead our industrial facilities, production engineering teams, and factory floor logistics. In this critical leadership role, you will be the core technical owner responsible for managing the full lifecycle of plant operations, manufacturing output targets, preventive maintenance frameworks, and hardware engineering workflows across our asset footprint.Operating at the intersection of product engineering, corporate finance, and operations management, you will bridge the gap between corporate executive leadership, procurement units, and on-site factory technical supervisors. The ideal candidate will combine rigorous system engineering logic with sharp people leadership capabilities to systematically eliminate manufacturing bottlenecks, maximize overall equipment effectiveness (OEE), minimize working capital waste, and guarantee a secure, zero-accident environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Total Plant Operations Leadership: Direct the day-to-day agile scheduling, material routing, machinery assignments, and performance execution of all regional industrial facilities and technical engineering crews.
  • Workflow Optimization & Throughput Scaling: Establish, track, and monitor operational performance metrics (KPIs) to streamline manufacturing layouts, eliminate line bottlenecks, minimize machinery downtime, and optimize inventory cross-docking.
  • Continuous Improvement Architecture: Own and drive the localized execution of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Kaizen, and Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) programs to maximize overall manufacturing yields.
  • Preventive Maintenance & Facility Upkeep: Design, implement, and oversee rigorous machinery maintenance schedules, equipment calibration programs, and critical building systems (HVAC, electrical grids, backup generator circuits) to ensure high-reliability operational continuity.
  • Budgeting & Cost Engineering: Manage allocated plant operational budgets, monitor raw material scrap benchmarks, analyze utility/energy consumption metrics, and verify vendor pricing sheets to minimize operational expenditures.
  • Workplace Safety & Compliance: Enforce rigid compliance with Ministry of Manpower (MOM) regulations, Workplace Safety and Health Act (WSHA) standards, environmental safety guides, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Technical Documentation Control: Maintain precise physical and digital records frameworks, compiling comprehensive equipment maintenance records, daily batch sheets, calibration logs, and compliance certificates for statutory and internal audits.

Requirements

  • Education: Minimum Bachelor’s Degree (Master's or professional management credentials preferred) in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Industrial Operations Management, or a related quantitative technical discipline.
  • Technical Stack: Strong command of system configuration tracking, technical blueprint/drawing interpretation, production mapping models, and Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS). High proficiency in Microsoft Excel for metrics tracking and data parsing is required.
  • Experience: Prior experience (2–8 years) in an engineering operations environment, with at least 2+ years of direct experience leading a manufacturing facility or plant operations team—specifically within a heavy manufacturing, precision engineering, or industrial distribution sector—is required.
  • Communication: Exceptional verbal and written English communication skills; professional etiquette and an assertive, collaborative stakeholder management style to bridge shop-floor operators with corporate executives.
  • Core Competencies: Outstanding structural logic, intense attention to detail under tight production quotas, strong analytical troubleshooting capabilities under pressure, and a resilient team-player mindset.
