They must be able to operate the equipment safely and efficiently, following established procedures and protocols. 2. Monitor equipment performance : Monitor the performance of machinery and equipment, making adjustments as needed to ensure that they operate at optimal levels. They must be able to identify and address any issues that arise, such as equipment malfunctions or operational errors. 3. Conduct routine maintenance : Plant operators are responsible for conducting routine maintenance on machinery and equipment, such as cleaning, lubricating, and replacing parts as needed. They must be able to follow maintenance schedules and protocols to ensure that equipment operates effectively and efficiently. 4.
