Plant Operator (Roller)

Your Opportunity

In this role as a Plant Operator (Roller), you will be performing plant operation and other duties to contribute to the effective and efficient operation of the Works & Parks Department by safely and competently operating the Roller in completing road construction and/or maintenance, complete daily checks and maintenance on the Roller as required, as well as performing other general labouring duties on-site.

STATUS:

Permanent, Full-time

HOURS of WORK:

76 hours per fortnight | 9-day fortnight

PAY LEVEL:

$2,660.09 per fortnight (Level 5) + Construction Allowance ($80.90 per fortnight)

Plus 12% Superannuation and 17.5% Annual Leave Loading in accordance with Council’s Enterprise Agreement and the relevant Award.

Pay rate dependant on relevant skills and experience.

To be considered for this role, you will need:

• Legal right to live and work in Australia
• Extensive experience a recent high-level operation of the Roller in a civil construction environment.
• Knowledge of Workplace Health & Safety considerations relevant to the role and how to limit workplace risks.

MANDATORY LICENCES & QUALIFICATIONS

• A Class C (car) licence or greater is required.
• Statement of Attainment for the relevant plant from a Registered Training Organisation (RTO): Road Roller.
• An Occupational Health & Safety Construction Induction Card (White Card); or the ability to obtain.
• A person in this position will need to hold a current certificate for Working in Proximity to Traffic Awareness Parts 1 & 2; or the ability to obtain.
