Job Objective Under the supervision of the Production Foreman, you will be responsible for coordinating the operational tasks of the team and optimizing equipment performance at a specific work station. You will ensure production targets are met while adhering to quality, safety, cost, and environmental standards.

Main Responsibilities And Duties

• Manage and coordinate the teams at a production station;
• Ensure the continuity and efficiency of production operations;
• Monitor the progress of assigned tasks and resolve any issues encountered;
• Plan and coordinate maintenance interventions with the dedicated team to ensure maximum productivity;
• Collaborate with metallurgists on operational parameters and technical issues related to the plant, while communicating effectively with the concerned operators;
• Provide effective leadership to develop skills and improve team performance;
• Write follow-up reports on the activities at the workstation;
• Adopt and comply with the company’s Health & Safety policy and Sustainability policy;
• Promote and enforce commitments to health, safety, and sustainability in your area of responsibility;
• Actively contribute to achieving the project’s health, safety, and environmental objectives;
• Report any abnormal situations, incidents, or events that could have serious consequences, ensuring corrective measures are taken to prevent recurrence.

Required Skills

• Strong understanding of mineral processing methods and technologies;
• Good knowledge of production control and management systems;
• Proven experience in cost management and process optimization;
• Excellent oral and written communication skills;
• Proven leadership skills and ability to manage a team in a multicultural environment;
• Proficiency in risk analysis, decision-making, and developing practical solutions;
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously;
• Ability to train, motivate, and coach teams to ensure skill development.

Training & Experience

• Education level: BTS or equivalent;
• Experience: 3 to 5 years, ideally in a gold processing plant or a similar role;
• Fluency in French is mandatory.

The position is based at our BOTO site in Senegal.
