Plasma Cutter

Role & responsibilities

• Operate plasma cutting machines safely and efficiently.
• Perform accurate cutting of metal sheets, plates and components using plasma cutters.
• Read and understand basic cutting dimensions, drawings and job specifications.
• Set up the plasma cutting machine according to material thickness and cutting requirements.
• Select appropriate cutting parameters, settings and consumables.
• Ensure accurate dimensions and clean cutting as per production requirements.
• Inspect cut components for quality, accuracy and defects.
• Perform basic cleaning, maintenance and troubleshooting of the plasma cutting equipment.
• Follow all workplace safety procedures while operating machinery.
• Maintain proper housekeeping around the machine and work area.
• Coordinate with supervisors and production teams to complete assigned jobs on time.
• Minimize material wastage and ensure efficient utilization of materials.

Preferred candidate profile

• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience as a Plasma Cutter.
• Should have practical knowledge of operating plasma cutting machines.
• Must be capable of performing metal cutting using plasma cutters independently.
• Basic understanding of measurements, dimensions and fabrication requirements.
• Good awareness of industrial safety practices.
• Should be physically fit and comfortable working in a manufacturing/fabrication environment.
• Hindi and English communication skills are required.

Ideal Candidate: A skilled and experienced Plasma Cutter with strong practical knowledge of plasma machine operation, metal cutting and safe working practices, capable of delivering accurate and quality cutting work with minimum supervision
