Career Opportunity – Plasma Programmer

Location: NAFFCO Qatar

We are seeking a qualified and experience Plasma Programmer for programming and operating CNC plasma cutting systems for HVAC duct fabrication, ensuring accurate cutting, efficient material utilization, and timely production through CAD/CAM and nesting software.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare CNC plasma cutting programs using CAD/CAM and plasma nesting software for HVAC duct fabrication.
• Read and interpret duct drawings, layouts, shop drawings, and fabrication details.
• Develop duct fittings, dimensions, and cutting patterns according to approved drawings and specifications.
• Optimize sheet metal nesting layouts to minimize material waste and reduce scrap.
• Generate, verify, and transfer CNC cutting programs to the plasma cutting machine.
• Coordinate with fabrication and production teams to ensure accurate cutting and timely completion of work.
• Troubleshoot programming issues and maintain cutting accuracy in accordance with quality standards.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Experience in CAD/CAM and plasma nesting software for HVAC duct fabrication.
• Ability to read duct drawings, layouts, and fabrication details.
• Knowledge of duct fittings, dimensions, and developments.
• Strong nesting and material optimization skills to minimize sheet scrap.
• Ability to prepare and transfer CNC cutting programs to the plasma machine.
