Plasma Table Operator

Job Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Plasma Table Operator to join our manufacturing team. In this dynamic role, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining plasma cutting machines to produce precise metal components according to technical specifications. Your expertise in machine operation, blueprint interpretation, and safety standards will ensure high-quality output and efficient production workflows. Responsibilities

• Set up and calibrate plasma cutting tables, ensuring accurate alignment and proper tooling for each job
• Interpret mechanical blueprints, technical drawings, and shop math to determine cutting parameters and process sequences
• Operate plasma cutting machines safely and efficiently, adhering to all safety protocols and standard operating procedures
• Perform routine maintenance on plasma tables and related equipment to maximize machine uptime and performance
• Conduct quality inspections using precision measurement instruments to verify dimensions and ensure adherence to specifications
• Collaborate with team members on machine setup, tooling adjustments, and troubleshooting during production runs
• Maintain detailed records of job setups, production data, and safety checks for compliance and continuous improvement

Requirements

• Proven experience operating plasma cutting machines within a manufacturing or metal fabrication environment
• Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to interpret technical drawings and blueprints accurately
• Familiarity with CNC programming, CNC laser cutting, CNC milling machines, CNC lathe, and other machining tools is highly desirable
• Knowledge of safety standards in production environments, including proper use of measuring instruments and hand tools
• Ability to perform shop math accurately for measurements, calculations, and process adjustments
• Experience with machine operation involving welding, forming machines, stamping presses, press brake machines, electrical discharge machining (EDM), or sheet metal fabrication is a plus
• Basic understanding of tooling setup, measurement for quality control, and precision measurement techniques
• Mechanical aptitude combined with strong attention to detail and safety protocol adherence
• Excellent communication skills for effective teamwork and troubleshooting in a fast-paced setting

Pay: $21.00 - $28.81 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40.0 per week
