Plasma Technician

Core Responsibilities:

• Perform a variety of duties to plan, set up, mask, and spray parts to meet production requirements. Mask and/or grit blast part to prepare for coating. Use judgement in determining proper flow and speed of spray for the best results and compliance with all specifications.
• Perform incoming inspection prior to spray
• Plasma preparation such as Mask, Grit blast, machine set up and perform coating spray as per work instruction
• Ability to use various instrument to measure incoming and final coating thickness after plasma spray
• TPM check on machines
• Able to troubleshoot and replace gun spares when necessary
• Ability to operate Multi-coat and 9MC plasma machines
• Ability to spray Plasma, HVOF, Flame and TAFA coatings
• Ability perform Multi-task
• Ability to learn other shared services operation such as Water Jet, Shot-Peen and Glass Bead Peening operation
• Update Plasma log-book and prepare lab coupon submission form

Qualifications:

• Understand and adhere to all work instructions associated with the work you are performing.
• Comply with all company and safety rules and regulations during course of duties. ( Proper PPE )
• Perform jobs in priority order unless instructed otherwise.
• Perform and complete the operation you are performing IAW the required technical data referred to in your job traveler. (operation sheets, engine manuals, OEM SPM’s, written instructions from engineering)
• Report nonconformance’s related to parts, paper work, equipment, tooling or materials to the immediate Cell Leader.

Working hours:

1. Day shift: 7.30am to 4.48pm
2. Night shift: 7.30pm to 4.48am

Shift pattern: Monthly basis
