SJD Joinery & Building Contractors LTD is a small construction company in Carlisle. We are professional and agile.

We are seeking a skilled Plasterer to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in plastering, with the ability to work on various projects that will involve all aspects of plastering work. The candidate will be responsible to meet project specifications while ensuring high-quality standards.

Responsibilities

Preparation Skills: Surface preparation, checking for damage, and applying primers.

Application Skills: Ability to apply scratch coats, floating (leveling), and finish coats (skimming).

Specialist Skills: Drylining, plasterboarding, angle bead installation, or fibrous work (coving/mouldings).

Health & Safety: Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to health and safety regulations.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Plasterer with a strong portfolio of completed projects.
• Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools relevant to plastering work.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting as required by the job demands.
• Strong attention to detail with an emphasis on quality craftsmanship.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Good communication skills to liaise effectively with colleagues and clients.

Job type:

Permanent full-time

Schedule:

Contracted to 40hr per week with the option of overtime.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: £17.50-£20.00 per hour
