Plasterer

Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Plasterer to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will have experience in applying plaster to interior and exterior surfaces, ensuring high-quality finishes. This role offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects, contributing to the realisation of both residential and commercial buildings. Duties

• Applying plaster to walls, ceilings, and other surfaces using hand tools and power tools
• Preparing surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and repairing as necessary before plastering
• Mixing plaster to the correct consistency and colour as specified for each project
• Installing lath or mesh reinforcement where required for stability
• Ensuring finishes are smooth, level, and meet specified standards
• Collaborating with other trades such as bricklayers, carpenters, roofers, and welders to complete projects efficiently
• Maintaining a clean and organised work environment at all times
• Adhering strictly to health and safety regulations on site

Requirements

• Proven experience in plastering or related masonry work
• Proficiency with hand tools such as trowels, hawks, and floats
• Experience with power tools used in plastering applications
• Knowledge of bricklaying, masonry, roofing, welding, and carpentry is advantageous
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
• Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality finishes
• Good physical fitness with the ability to lift heavy materials and work at heights if necessary
• Relevant qualifications or certifications in construction trades are preferred but not essential
