Plasterer

Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Plasterer to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will have experience in applying plaster to interior and exterior surfaces, ensuring high-quality finishes that meet project specifications. This role offers the opportunity to work on a variety of building projects, contributing to the creation of durable and aesthetically pleasing structures. Applicants should be reliable, detail-oriented, and capable of working both independently and as part of a team.

Duties

• Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and applying primer as necessary before plastering.
• Mix plaster to the correct consistency using hand tools or power mixers.
• Apply plaster using trowels, hawks, or spray equipment to walls, ceilings, and other surfaces.
• Ensure smooth finishes by skillfully shaping and levelling plastered surfaces.
• Repair damaged or uneven areas by chipping away old plaster and reapplying new layers.
• Utilise masonry skills for bricklaying or related tasks when required on site.
• Operate various power tools safely and effectively during the plastering process.
• Assist with related construction tasks such as carpentry, roofing, or welding when needed.
• Maintain a clean and organised work environment, adhering to health and safety regulations at all times.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in plastering or related trades such as bricklaying or masonry.
• Proficiency with hand tools including trowels, floats, and spatulas.
• Ability to operate power tools safely and efficiently.
• Knowledge of masonry techniques and materials used in construction projects.
• Familiarity with carpentry, roofing, and welding is desirable but not essential.
• Strong attention to detail with an organised approach to work tasks.
• Good physical fitness with the ability to work at heights or in confined spaces if required.

Pay: £12.71-£25.00 per hour
