Duties

• Set up and operate plastic injection molding machines, ensuring proper calibration and safety compliance
• Monitor machine performance throughout production runs, adjusting parameters as needed for optimal output
• Conduct quality inspections using measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, and other precision instruments to verify dimensional accuracy
• Troubleshoot mechanical issues with industrial equipment, including robotic systems, CNC lathes, press brake machines, and CNC machines
• Handle materials safely using forklifts and materials handling equipment to load raw plastics and remove finished products
• Perform routine maintenance on machinery in accordance with safety protocols to prevent downtime
• Document production data, quality measurements, and machine performance logs accurately for process tracking and continuous improvement efforts

Qualifications

• Proven experience in plastics production or plastics blow molding is highly desirable
• Strong mechanical knowledge with familiarity in machine operation, machining, and engineering troubleshooting
• Ability to perform precise measurements using calipers, micrometers, and other measurement instruments for quality control
• Knowledge of plastics injection molding processes and plastics extrusion techniques
• Experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), robotic systems, CNC lathes, or press brake machines is a plus
• Basic math skills for measuring and calculating dimensions and tolerances
• Valid forklift certification or experience operating forklifts preferred
• Commitment to safety protocol adherence and industrial equipment troubleshooting skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with a focus on lean manufacturing principles
