Plastic Manufacturing Technician

About the Role

As a Plastic Production Specialist, you will drive manufacturing excellence by operating high-speed thermoforming equipment to deliver precision plastic components. You will play a vital role in optimizing machine uptime and ensuring that every product meets rigorous quality standards through proactive process monitoring and technical troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Execute machine setups and adjustments to maintain peak production efficiency and output quality.
• Perform detailed quality inspections using Statistical Process Control (SPC) to ensure adherence to customer specifications.
• Monitor and fine-tune process parameters to minimize waste and maximize equipment performance.
• Diagnose mechanical issues and initiate maintenance work orders to resolve downtime quickly.
• Collaborate with technical support teams to refine manufacturing processes and improve overall throughput.
• Maintain a high-standard, organized, and safe workspace to support continuous production flow.

Required Skills

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3-5 years of hands-on mechanical or technical experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency in interpreting data to make informed machine adjustments.
• Ability to perform physical tasks, including standing for long periods and lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify cause-and-effect relationships.

Preferred Skills

• Direct experience with thermoforming and plastic extrusion processes.
• Familiarity with injection molding or blow molding equipment.
• Experience working with specialized materials such as PA66.
• Basic computer literacy for documentation and reporting.
